Shrink a PDF's file size

How this works

• Your PDF is sent securely to our server, compressed, and sent back to you.
• The file is processed in memory and never saved to disk or stored anywhere — it's discarded immediately after your download starts.
• Compression mainly reduces the resolution/quality of images inside the PDF. Text stays sharp; heavily-photographic pages will look slightly softer.
• Password-protected or corrupted PDFs can't be processed.

Before you upload

Unlike our fully client-side tools, this one does send your file to a server for processing — so please don't upload documents containing highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, or legal information you wouldn't want to send over the internet to any service. For routine documents (reports, presentations, scanned forms, etc.) this is perfectly safe; we just believe in being upfront about what "compress" actually involves here.
