Split PDF
Split a PDF into separate documents
Drop in a big PDF and we'll try to find where one document ends and the next begins — using bookmarks if your file has them, AI if it doesn't, and your own page numbers if neither works.

How this works
- If your PDF already has bookmarks/an outline, we split at those section boundaries — no AI involved.
- If it doesn't, we send the extracted text of each page (not images, not the file itself) to Google's Gemini AI, which suggests where one document ends and another begins.
- Either way, you can review and edit the proposed sections — add, remove, or adjust page ranges — before anything is split.
- If neither method finds clear boundaries (common for scanned documents with no extractable text), you just enter page ranges yourself.
About the AI
When bookmarks aren't available, this tool sends your document's text content to Google's Gemini AI to help find logical section boundaries. Don't upload documents containing highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, or legal information you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service. Your file is never stored — it's processed in memory and discarded once you have your results.
